The Line Officers of the Atlantic Highlands First Aid Squad are elected yearly to comprise the chain of command for all emergency operations. The officers are experienced in all aspects of the EMS and rescue systems. In addition, the line officers are responsible to see that all equipment and supplies are stocked, current and functional. The Squad amended its bylaws in 2009 to become NIMS compliant by adding the rank of Chief.
